This is a coalition of climate and environmental justice organizations working across the State to demand climate action now and a Just Transition.

We are a founding steering committee member of the McKinley Group.

We are expanding the McKinley No False Solutions Curriculum through monthly in-person and online spaces that are focused on youth, families and elders. We aim to build a safe co-learning space for the community to engage in discussion with each other and local leaders.

Our approach is to assist our participants in enhancing their frontline narrative by ensuring the indigenous perspective and teachings of storytelling is a tool in the revitalization of our indigenous traditions and depicts the way of life that is interconnected to Mother Earth.

Our Priorities

Create a McKinley No False Solutions 11 Month Curriculum which highlights the Local History, Community Resistance, Colonial Injustices, Direct-Action and Deescalation, False Solutions, Traditional Ecological Knowledge as harm reduction, socially responsible storytelling, policy advocacy 101, Term/Definitions of greenwashing, current threats on Land, Air, Water, and Neurodecolonization.
- 6 In-Person Learning Sessions will prioritize building community trust and relationship through interactive activities, oral storytelling, and community experts. Will invite locally aligned organizations and efforts to participate in community updates and tables during the event.
- 5 Virtual Learning Sessions will be accessible to the public and available via our YouTube Channel for future use.
- We will invite local community organizations/Professors/Community Advocates to be co-facilitators for both in-person and virtual spaces.
- Resources, books and supplies will be available as needed for participants.
Host the 3rd and 4th Annual Climate Week in Window Rock and Gallup which includes the International Uranium Film Festival and our 5th and 6th Annual No False Solutions Training within McKinley with the intention to expand participation, local partnerships and side events during Climate Week. Additional Activities will include a dance party, Film screenings, Prayer walks, Art/Food Demonstrations and provide free meals for participants.
Extend invitations to community members and organizations to attend demonstrations against the fossil fuel Industry within McKinley, Navajo Nation and throughout New Mexico.
Attend health fairs, flea markets, Arts Crawls, and other various community events throughout McKinley and surrounding areas and provide accurate information to community members of False Solutions being posed in the community.
Attend, plan and participate in New York Climate Week and other national/international actions and convenings around climate change. Nearly 80% of Americans know little to nothing about Indigenous People. Our goal is to continue to shift the narrative and expose the truth of our experiences as indigenous people living on the forefront of climate disasters while proposing our solutions.
